Band teuluol o lethrau Hiraethog oedd Trwbadŵr hefo Jacob Elwy a'i frawd Morgan Elwy eu cefnder Tomo Lloyd a Gruff Roberts. Ymunodd Mared y band fel prif leisydd ble mabiwsiadwyd yr enw Trwbz a recordwyd eu album cyntaf "Yn y Dechrau" ag adawodd marc ar y sîn roc Gymraeg gydag ychydig o 'soul', roc a 'blues' - cyfuniad gwych o riffs anhygoel a llais hollol unigryw a phwerus.Ar ol blynyddoedd o berfformio ar lwyfannau ag mewn gwyliau ar draws Cymru rhyddhâwyd 'Croesa'r Afon', record fer y flwyddyn, Gwobrau Selar 2018.Gyda Mared bellach yn llwyfanu Les Mis yn y West End mae Jacob Elwy a'r Trŵbz yn ôl hefo cyfres o senglau roc, reggae a naws acwstig yn 2020 hefo eu label annibynol Bryn Roc.

In 2013 Trwbz from the vale of Clwyd was a relatively new name on the Welsh music before they made their mark on the Welsh music scene with their new debut album 'Yn y dechrau'. A combination of soaring riffs and powerful female vocals from Mared Williams - mainly rock orientated with Soul, blues and alternative influences. The last few years have been pretty manic for the band between studying for their degrees and trying to find weekends to perform and write new material for their EP "Croesa'r afon' which was voted best welsh EP for the year 2018. Trwbz list numerous influences including Big Leaves, Paolo Nutini and Led Zeppelin that have helped this young band shape and mould their own sound and style. The songs were all composed by the band and they've also recorded the album themselves without the guidance of a producer. Sain were happy to give them access to the studio in Llandwrog on weekends with Sion Jones acting as engineer - they were given the freedom to experiment and enjoy the studio experience.
